Denmark shall use the revenues received to finance a tender for Power-to-X (PtX) technologies (aiming at approx. 100 MW green electrolysis capacity). The exact design of the tender is to be determined by the Danish authorities. PtX is considered a mutual interest of both parties. The statistical transfer will ensure fundamental experience and knowledge exchange between the Danish and the Dutch authorities in this area.

The renewable energy target amount transferred shall firstly be renewable electricity quantities (wind, solar) and renewable heat quantities (solar, geothermal) and secondly renewable energy quantities from biomass issued out of a sustainable forestry in the Selling Member State. The revenues received by Estonia from Luxembourg are to be used to finance projects in the areas of renewable energy or energy efficiency.
